About The Designer

Ayushi Rai is a ceramic designer who brings both technical precision and human sensitivity to her work. With expertise in product design and model development, she works across industrial, commercial, and aesthetic ceramic applications.

Known for her calm and thoughtful approach, Ayushi collaborates closely with teams by listening carefully, understanding project needs, and adapting to what each brief requires. Whether she is designing a new product from the beginning or translating an existing concept into a mould ready model, she prioritizes clarity, care, and usability at every stage.

She has a particular strength in developing complex organic forms that are production friendly and efficient for large scale manufacturing. Her work spans dinnerware, tableware, sanitary ware, and other ceramic categories where accuracy in form and ease of production are essential. Clients approach her for design services, model making, or complete design to production development.

Services

I offer end-to-end design and development support for ceramic products from early concepts to production ready moulds. My services are Tailored to meet the needs of industries, studios, and individual designers.

Designing: Concept development for tableware, tiles, and home décor objects. I help translate initial ideas into functional, aesthetic forms ready for prototyping or production.
Model Development: Creation of precise master models using best quality plaster specially made for making models. These models serve as the foundation for mould-making and are developed with production accuracy in mind.
Mould and Case Development: Design and fabrication of single and multi-part plaster moulds for slip casting, press moulding, or hand-press techniques. Includes case for the moulds to ensure durability and consistency in production.
Tiles: Design and development of ceramic tiles from surface articulation to moulds. I work on relief tiles, textured surfaces, and modular compositions suitable for both wall and floor applications.
Surface and Pattern Design: Development of surface textures, engraving patterns, and embossed deTiles. I also collaborate on graphic/glaze-based surface design to suit a range of aesthetics and production scales.
